DRM-free games specialist GoG are doing a weekend promotion offering twenty-five classic Atari titles for just $63.10 (£41.78), bought as a package purchase, or individually. Individual titles start at $2.09 (£1.38).

Titles up for cheap grabs include the Roller Coaster Tycoon trilogy, the Alone In The Dark trilogy, and several Sid Meier titles.

Games have all been remastered to be compatible with modern systems, both PC and Mac, but please check the individual releases for system requirements.

As is standard for the GoG games catalogue, many of the releases feature bonuses such as desktop backgrounds, game manuals, and even expansion packs, games soundtracks and videos featuring interviews with developers.

Beat Down City will feature just what made the classic games of old such as Double Dragon so great. With the side scrolling beat em up action in a retro graphical style. The ability to punch and kick your way past a host of different enemies and being able to smash objects to reveal items including weapons. A game I'm looking forward to, hopefully us gamers get more info as we head through this year for a final release.

Further Info  : What a great way to spend the rest of the week, as The Company.pl have just released/updated to version 2.6, 9 more amazing Amiga-PC playable titles for your enjoyment. These games are very well known in the Amiga world, especially as one of them is an all time classic, titled Elvira, with it's blood thirsty graphics and horror story line. But what makes these even better is all you have to do is download a single file and run it to play the game. There's no messing about with roms and no fiddling with Emulators as it's all done for you. This is a great list of games with hours worth of retro gaming time.
