Retro Video Gamer has just contacted us through our twitter feed of the recent announcement for Thomas Ilg's Atari ST homebrew game ' Laser Ball ', that is up for pre-order as a high quality boxed edition titled 'Laser Ball 2015'. Originally released in 2014 as an arcade puzzle game with great feedback such as "The Sign of every good Puzzle game", the developer is hoping for at least 15 pre-orders before the game is boxed, as small amounts are very expensive.
The basic game elements revolve around the placing of mirrors to reflect a laser beam at certain points for either a high score, to open a door or to hit the red ball to move onto the next level. From what we've seen of the footage of the game thus far it does look to be great fun and will put your mind to the test with challenging puzzles. Although the game is available as a free download, there is nothing more satisfying than having great box art, an original floppy and a manual in your hands to carry on through each gaming generation.
So remember, if you want a lovely box art version thanks to Melanie Schober, Thomas Ilg and with an inbuilt editor, make sure to pre-order as every little helps!
Thanks Retro Video Gamer for the heads up.
