In 1991 Delphine Software released the cult classic platformer Another World for the Amiga and Atari ST, it was and still is a game that has lived on in the hearts of many, as it had incredible cinematic effects for its time in both the graphics, sound and cut scenes. Basically one of the best retro games on the Amiga. Yet sadly the sequel ' Heart of the Alien ', developed by Interplay Entertainment was only released exclusively for the Sega CD in 1994 and Amiga gamers were left out in the cold, at least until now! Welcome to the ' Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga v1.0 ', a SEGA CD to Amiga port, which was released just this week.
This is an incredible achievement, as the entire game from the SEGA CD including all of the graphics, levels and sound has been ported over by Dalibor Javorcek with the installation by our good friend Retroplay to the Amiga system. It was only ever released in North America and continued the story directly from where the original ended. The game switches the player's role from Another World; this time the player takes control of Buddy, the main character's alien ally from the previous game.
And so there you have it, possibly one of the best port releases on the Amiga we've seen in 2016, and what's more everyone that has played it has given it high praise with feedback such as " Runs great on my A1200. Superb work! " and " This is amazing. Thank you very much for it ". So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the download links, read the listed requirements and download it NOW!
- Thanks Per-Ola Eriksson for the heads up
