Hire Hare - CPCRetroDev 2016 second place PRO award winner is now available for the Amstrad CPC

If you are a fan of the Amstrad CPC or have been following our news stories, you've probably already heard of the in development isometric game Hire Hare for the Amstrad CPC. But if you haven't, Hire Hare was made by Cesar Nicolas Gonzalez ( CNGSOFT) with cover art by DracuOfTheFuture, also coming second place in the PRO awards at the CPCRetroDev 2016. It puts you in control of the sorceress Hecatia who has to collect nine black lamps, through a dungeon to defeat the evil warlock Lycurgus with a secondary goal to collect keys and unlock ten treasure chests. Sound like your sort of game? Good! Because just moments ago the first version was made available for download!

I must say I've been blown away by what the Amstrad community have achieved this year, it seems as every year the games just get better and better in both gameplay and quality. This is especially true of Hire Hare as unlike all the great platformers we keep mentioning this is as we said before is an isometric title, which in itself is rather unique. You can also see by the graphics and when you play it the high quality music, is it any wonder why it came second place in the pro category? It's a lovely game indeed and what's more the inspirations this game has listed in the text file is pretty eye opening, such as Ultimate's mythically unreleased "Mire Mare". So yes, a game well worth playing!
