Karsten Majok from the Commodore Amiga Facebook group has just informed us of the release of 'FS-UAE 2.8.3', which is an update to one of the best Amiga Emulators with a full GUI that you can use for Amiga based gaming. As we said before FS-UAE at its core it uses WinUAE, but with a fantastic GUI and the brilliant Open Amiga Game Database and FS-UAE Arcade! What that means is, if you have the Amiga emulator frontend FS-UAE installed and all the Amiga game files : floppy images, CD images and WHDLoad games (.adf, .ipf, .zip, .rar, .iso, etc), you'll be able to use the latest configuration settings listed in a lovely arcade info display!
These are straight from other users and by simply loading up FS-UAE, scanning the file folders and being a registered free member of the online database the games will work right away with no frustrations via a handy game database update! You'll also be greeted with some fine covers and screenshots as in the above screenshot. So now that is out the way, check out the changelog below and download, this is a must have for any Amiga gamer. ( Please make sure to have the game files and more especially the Kickstart Roms )
Changes in FS-UAE 2.8.3 include:
- Fix decoding on non-ascii %-escaped file names on directory HDs.
- Fixed caps lock.
- Imported updated translations from crowdin.com.
- Show error message when version started is too old (cannot read databases).
- Fixed save state dir when starting with UUID parameter.
- CDTV games (from database) did not set CDTV model.
- Imported updated translations from crowdin.com.
