Carpathian Night - A Retro Tribute to Horror Platformers - Demo now Available

A demo is now available for Carpathian Night by Tezcatek for Windows and MacOSX platforms. A retro side-scrolling action game in the vein of Castlevania/Dracula X games, it features gorgeous 8-Bit pixel graphics and a fantastic NES style chiptune soundtrack.

You have two characters to choose from, Dorin who wields a staff, and Irina with what looks like a metal chain whip with a nasty blade at the end. Attack in any direction, dash to escape an attack, or launch a special move unique to each character.

Having played a bit of the demo so far, I am finding it to be quite fun! The controls are responsive and the overall gameplay is not impossibly hard, any casual gamer should progress nicely without too much frustration. The NES style chiptune music perfectly compliments the retro atmosphere created by the stunning pixel artwork in the game.
