Monday is starting off with a retro bang, as if the Ultimate Play the Game title of ' Atic Atac ' coming as an isometric remake wasn't enough to excite you, we now have Valve's modern day puzzle platform game ' Portal ' coming to the C64! Yes indeed we've just come across a tweet by the developer Jamie Fuller, that Portal is being demade and will feature glorious retro C64 graphics by our good friend Del Seymour. ( The cake isn't a lie! )
Portal C64 looks like a great conversion from its modern day vibe, as it will also feature Portals and puzzles just like the original game, as well as a functioning companion cube. For those of you concerned about the control scheme, it looks like it may also have mouse controls! So look out for this one as even those who've never played on the C64 might want to after they hear of Portal on a retro system.#c64 #portal update! Some big steps forward with the code and the introduction of vanishing floors/walls and a partially functioning companion cube. But the biggest update is the massively improved gfx by the awesome @hanksplendid. Now it really looks the part! pic.twitter.com/LmBaJySznp— Jamie Fuller (@jamie30dbs) September 2, 2018
