The ZX Spectrum has done really well this year, especially with the announced ZX-DEV-MIA remakes competition being finalized and winners announced. Well one of those games which came six place in the competition as known as Booty the Remake had a bit of an upgrade. Because we've recently been told through our twitter feed, that the developer has released in celebration of coming 6th place, the "Black Edition"; a multicoloured tile and black backgrounds overhaul at the request of many players.
The original game of Booty was released in 1984 for the Amstrad, Commodore and yes even the Spectrum, with the competition addition featuring a number of improvements over the original such as sprite flicker, movement routines, speed improvements, as well as tweaking the mission difficulty. Sadly however many felt the background in the remake was a bit garish, so the developer has now improved all of that that with the much needed Black Edition; a graphical improvement which you can of course see in the pictures above.
