The NES scene has certainly been busy this month, with cool games announced such as Micro Mages and NEScape! But now another game is set to take center stage, as we've just come across a tweet from @remwhat, that they have released the final version of What Remains; an 8-bit interactive fiction and adventure video game for the #NES about environmental issues, the manipulation of public opinion, and whistleblowing.
As noted by the website, What Remains is a new game for the NES console, blending visual novel and adventure elements in a story translating real events from the 80s into an epic quest to save the world. As the story unravels, your life in Sunny Peaks transforms dramatically, and you start uncovering a dark secret threatening everyone. But no despair, your best friend is by your side... as well as a very helpful cat.The final ROM of What Remains is out! 🎉🎊— what remains (@remwhat) May 24, 2019

For those of you who don't like downloading and playing legally purchased ROMS, but prefer more for your NES. Will also be pleased to know you can buy the game through the main website developed for the original NES hardware, using reused and repurposed cartridges as a limited edition costing 80,- euro, excluding shipping and packaging costs!
