Throughout the last year and into this one we've been banging on the drums about the fabulous C64 game 'L'abbaye Des Morts', which was developed by Antonio Savona, with graphics, music, sfx by Saul Cross and Gryzor, with full permission of Locomalito. Well last night was a fitting end to 2019, as we announced via hayesmaker64's top quality Twitch stream, that out of so many entries and our personal nominee's such as Doc Cosmos, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, Get Em DX, L'abbaye Des Morts, Super Mario Bros 64, Kings Valley+, Frantic Freddie 2, Lala Prologue and Tenebra Macabre, the overall smashing winner of 2019 is............
L'abbaye Des Morts!
Yes indeed it was a tough one to call between Doc Cosmos and L'abbaye Des Morts over all the other games (link), but Hayesmaker64 made the final decision and L'abbaye Des Morts was crowned our GOTY of 2019! Although you can watch Hayesmaker64's twitch stream from last night which includes so many games being played and the overall winner being announced. I can honestly say I agree with this decision as L'abbaye Des Morts is a game that no retro gamer should miss. It features Hi-Resolution C64 graphics, an incredible soundtrack by Gryzor and Saul Cross, 20 challenging rooms, 14 different types of enemies, eeeek A DRAGON!, Secret passages and hidden rooms, and best of all it's both PAL and NTSC compatible!
