Another C64 heads up for you all and one I think you'll agree is pretty decent, as thanks to a heads up on the Commodore 64/128 Facebook group via Icon64, we've been told 'The Shadow over Hawksmill' will be available for pre-order through Psytronik as from the 18th Jan. Yes indeed if you like a bit of horror in your C64 playtime, then you'll be pleased to learn that not only does this game have a strong Cthulhu based horror vibe, but it will be using the Legend of Atlantis engine with far more action.
As noted by the pre-order page for the game via Psytronik. To celebrate the 100th release from Psytronik Software the team behind the multi-award-winning release Rocky Memphis: The Legend Of Atlantis are BACK with a stunning new arcade adventure for the C64. Journey to the rain-swept village of Hawksmill to investigate the mysterious disappearance of it's inhabitants. Uncover ancient secrets and mysteries foretold in the necronomicon as you travel through the mysterious town. Featuring an exciting mix of puzzle solving, adventuring and shooting this is set to be yet another unmissable release from the ICON 64 team!
If that wasn't enough to whet your appetite, the game features over 60 screens to explore, detailed graphics and animation, atmospheric music, aimable weaponry, cunning traps and puzzles to solve, lots of objects to collect and use, intro and outro sequences, be both SD2IEC, NTSC and PAL compatible, and finally all of this designed by Stuart Collier, Trevor Storey and Saul Cross.. So yes, we can't wait!
