Street Fighter 2 Remastered Edition - Classic Street Fighter 2 overhauled on the Sega Mega Drive
I'm sure many of you remember the Street Fighter games, more especially Street Fighter 2; a game which originally appeared on the Arcades, and was then ported to pretty much every system you could think of, including such systems as the Amiga, Atari St and even the ZX Spectrum. Well fast forward to today however and do we have some truly stonking news for you fine folks! As thanks to the hard work of team Pyron, they have released an overhauled and remastered edition of Street Fighter 2, for the Sega Mega Drive.
As noted by Rom Hacking : Street Fighter II Remastered is a project that has been in production since 2016 as a laboratory to test various possible solutions to solve part of the problems of this game and other titles on this platform. Everything related to art and presentation has been redone, all resources have been used intelligently to extract the potential of the console. In fact due to the hard work of Pyron they also go on to say, the game is far closer to the Arcade version as "to revise the game with modern elements present in the SF series itself to give an updated look to the game".
