Creeping Me Out Hex Night - An upcoming Amiga platformer developed using the Scorpion Engine

Looking at the screenshot above you'd probably think this was going to be an adventure game with a similar vibe to that of Simon the Sorcerer. Well this isn't going to be an adventure, as we've recently found out through Facebook, that Creeping Me Out : Hex Night, developed by Mixel, is a brand new platformer for the Commodore Amiga, which will be developed using Earok's Scorpion Engine.

Although it is early days for this game and unlikely to be released this year, according to the creator. Creeping Me Out Hex Night will not only have hints of Turrican and a bit of Castlevania, but will also feel like an Addams Family game containing more story elements than the average Amiga action platformer... I.e. complex levels, extra secrets, branching paths, “hand drawn” story levels that serve as cutscenes, hub areas and much more!

For those of you interested in requirements with a free/pay what you feel Amiga game, and the possibility of a special boxed edition, the game coming as either HDD install or CD, may require powerful OCS systems with 2MB RAM+ but an A1200/20 with some fast ram will be recommended . Although he does state "I may port down to much weaker systems by reducing colour count and making certain elements in a more orthodox manner with further optimizations during development, depending on performance once everything’s in place".

And that's pretty much a short snippet of this upcoming game, but for further details make sure to check the link located (HERE)
