If you're looking for a new Amstrad game you've come to the right place, as trawling through the cpcwiki forums we've recently been told that as of this week you can download John Lobo's latest Amstrad CPC game of Dr. Roland. A rather nice Dr. Mario clone which not only was disqualified in the last CPCRetroDev 2020 competition, but it could have generated a legal response from Nintendo causing issues for the entire competition as it was too much like the original.
In terms of what is involved in the game, as the developer notes: the patient is suffering a terrible virus infection, and your role as Dr. Roland is to get rid of those ugly and funky viruses, throwing them colored vitamin capsules. If four elements of the same color get together, all of them will disappear, and you will be one step closer to cure the infection. So yes if you remember playing that classic game of Dr. Mario released way back in 1990 then I'm sure you'll enjoy Dr. Roland on the Amstrad CPC too!
