WarZ - Stat Wipe Update

Tonight has been a really bad night tonight on the servers with players Multi-killing, long distance shotgun kills, no-clipping and wall hacking. At one point I was sniping on the hill when I died instantly, suddenly this woman appeared out of thin air next to me, takes my stuff then disappears again ( not server hopping ). So I'm hoping that after this stat wipe they really do update the Anti-Hack ban engine, because at the moment it's out of control! So when you do get killed on the game you don't know if it was legit or a hack. But less of that, back onto the stat wipe

Atari's Pong - 40 years today!

Atari's Pong is 40 years old today! That's incredible, I only remember playing Pong once or twice at a boot fair many many many years ago when I was a chubby little lad. Another day another patch for WarZ, it seems as if the developers have backtracked over the expensive cost of clan creation which caused an earlier uproar and rush for refunds ( see link ). The game contains an epic storyline, Voiceover work starring fan favorite Logan Cunningham (Bastion) a gorgeous post-apocalyptic landscape, which reminds me of Beneath a steel sky and optional puzzles to learn more about the world around you. Over 11k Views! So a special treat - Xevious ( Retro Shoot em up Remake )

When I checked the site today to do another article I was so pleased to see that my site had achieved a milestone of over 11k views. When I first created this website my goal was to give you the latest and best possible Indie / Retro news available on the internet. Although I have a lot of experience in games journalism I never expected my website to generate that many hits in such a short period of time, some of the bigger articles especially kickstarters generate nearly 200 views or more from just that one contribution. However it doesn't all just come down to just me, we have two big helpers on the site at the moment and we are aiming for more soon.

James C ( awesome admin tech guy ) both have really helped push this site even further forward, so once those interviews and reviews start coming in, expect this site to hopefully become even more popular. If you would like to contribute in any way and help out on the website contact me at admin@indieretronews.com. We'd also love for someone to do short game play youtube Talk-Throughs of old retro games!

Now onto the game itself " Xevious "

Forsaken Fortress is a post-apocalyptic survival rpg with an emphasize on simulation.

Once again it's Sunday on Indie Retro News and that means Question of the day!. You the reader can get involved by simply using the comment option at the bottom of the news post. My question of the day is.

1) What retro system did you enjoy the most from your childhood?

Will it be the Amstrad, the Spectrum, Atari, the Amiga or some other ass kicking gaming machine!

Eternal Champions - The Thin Strings of Fate (Free Full Game)

As promised I've got a treat for the viewers today and it's not something that's been posted on the site yet, it's a Beat em up!. Eternal Champions - The Thin Strings of Fate was developed using an open source engine called OpenBOR which is basically the open source continuations of Beats of Rage. This excellent game is a throw back to the days of the side scrolling beat em ups from the Mega Drive and arcade machines we used to play and love.
