It amazes me, how such old games with barely any graphics of note were so popular, yet even some top end titles of today don't have such a fun factor. The game play was all that counts, and Digger goes way back to 1983 by Windmill Software. So here we have the remastered version, even though there have been a number of remakes in the past and even slight variations this looks true to the original
You play as a digging machine in a mine, and must collect diamonds and gold, while evading specific monsters who are out to stop you. Either collect all the resources in the mine or kill all the enemies, it's your choice. Each level becomes progressively more difficult, so if you think the first level was easy wait till the later ones!
A good way to kill the enemies is by using the gold bags scattered throughout the level. By digging under the gold, it causes it to fall, but watch out if it lands on you, it will kill you instead. Though if the gold falls more than one space, you'll be able to collect the fallen treasure.
A fun game indeed and the controls are very easy to master!
You control the digger with the arrow keys, and shoot with the F1 key.
