The Publisher Iceberg Interactive are fast becoming a well known publisher for some damn fine 4x strategy games, what with Endless Space, StarDrive and now Horizon under their belt. So with the announcement today of the developers L30 joining Iceberg Interactive for Horizon, I'm sure this will be another 4x strategy hit game. Horizon is a game of galactic conquest, where humans have just begun venturing beyond the edges of our solar system. But as with any space game, space isn't as empty as was led to believe, gather the ships it's time for war!
Horizon will be a grand space strategy game of galactic conquest, as you control the space worthy humans, boldly going into the vast empty regions of the unknown. But all as not as it seems, as you discover Alien artifacts on long abandoned planets from ancient Alien races and possibly meet the Aliens themselves. According to the developers, there will be at least 10 other species, with their unique cultures, history and schemes, so war will most likely not be far behind.
Defend your territory by engaging in ship to ship tactical combat, while developing military bases and shipyards on some far out planet. But for those that prefer the peaceful option, develop colonies for trade, industry and science. Horizon has a fully interactive galaxy that allows you to navigate open space between the stars and planets, so if you're defending or colonizing, you'll always be on top of things(you hope!).
