Buddy and me is a unique and colorful looking platforming game by Sunbreak Games. The game is based in the dreams of a little boy, who is also the main character of the game. It is also about that boys friend who is called Buddy. Buddy will lend the boy help when he needs it. The boy can Jump and double jump over obstacles, swing using ropes, Bounce on mushrooms and fly down zip lines and more, however what makes this game different and unique from conventional platformers is that the boys friend buddy can fly ahead and spot danger and help him over come obstacles in various ways. For example buddy will allow the boy to use his back as a platform, his belly as a trampoline, and his tail as a swing to get over obstacles, He can even hurl the boy ahead of him like a cannon ball, Buddy is very versatile.
There will also be a system called buddy flight which the player can earn, it will allow buddy to fly down pick up the boy and put him on his back, Then the player will be able to control buddy as he fly's forward and picks up collectibles etc.
High in the tree tops the boy can also make friends with guardian forest spirits called "angel bunnies".
Which can be heard singing soft lullabies. If the player can collect one. It will follow the player and buddy along on their adventure, although it has not being mentioned if the player can interact with them.
From time to time the player will also come across landmarks which will mark a milestone for the distance the player will have traveled, for example flowering meadows, reflective lakes, roaring waterfalls and secret tree house villages, This game sure does look very pretty and it sounds like the game play is very intuitive, we will be keeping an eye on this one for sure.
