Rawbots - A Multiplayer Sandbox game with kick ass Robots! +Kickstarter

If you were ever a fan of RobotWars or just remember the TV show, then this game will give you a damn good robot creation treat. Rawbots is a robot crafting sandbox game where you can play with kick ass robots, designed, built and programmed by you. The developer Alex Rozgo of Team Rawbots, is pushing this game into the next level with more than just a Robot Creation game, as they state via the Kickstarter. The Rawbots universe has a unique set of matter, energy and physics laws. These laws are engineered to serve fun emergent gameplay that is different every time you play. Everything you would expect from a sandbox game and more. We are taking this to the next level. Gameplay that truly emerges beyond imagination and defined contextually by the type of robots you build.

The creation part looks to be a well thought out part of the game, with an ease of use as your tools are simple building blocks which allow the player to create all kinds of bots. Motors, sensors, tools and structural body parts seamlessly connect with one another. Each and every bot part hides a world of options ready to be discovered.

But that's not all, as you don't just have the main Robots to contend with, as everything else is a robot as well. Doors, roads, walls, bridges, safes, traps, turrets, surveillance systems, etc all play a part, you can even build forts, towers and architect impressive structures to protect your planets and resources.  Rawbots also has a multitude of modes including CTF, FPS and RTS. You can either play solo or with friends via muliplayer, so lots of fun to be had here!

If you wish to know more and this game appeals to you, then head over to the kickstarter page and pledge. It's a large goal of $300,000 so the developers will have to work hard, but it looks like they are well on there way!
