FrodeSolheim has just announced the release of FS-UAE 2.4.0, which is is one of the best Amiga Emulators with full GUI that you can use. This release contains a ton of features that any Amiga gamer would drool over and what's more, it sits perfectly on your PC. This GUI also features the vastly superior Open Amiga Game Database! What that means is, if you have the amazing Amiga emulator frontend FS-UAE installed and all the amiga game files : floppy images, CD images and WHDLoad games (.adf, .ipf, .zip, .rar, .iso, etc), you'll be able to use the latest configuration settings. These are straight from other users and by simply scanning the folders and being a registered free member of the online database the games will work right away with no frustrations! You'll also be greeted with some fine covers and screenshots, great eh? But that's not all, if you don't have these gaming files available on your computer you can download them free through the GUI, it's that simple. Did I mention that you can even play these Amiga games with other gamers online at the same time? Amiga Multiplay, oh yes! ( Read on for two free games! )
Another fine feature of this new update is the brand new Game Center, which comes in handy for Gamepad users, it just looks simply divine.

The only down side to all of this is, you will you need the Kickstart files to play the games, oh and a registered WHDLOAD.key comes in handy, but isn't needed. But I'm sure you'll find the Kickstart files easily enough.
( I would recommend uninstalling the previous versions and starting with this one, fresh )

ReplyDeleteHi Tom, basically they are Amiga system roms, easy enough to find in google but due to legal reasons I can't link them from here. Sorry
