We've just been given the heads up from African based developer, Christopher Bischoff that his PC 2D isometric point and click adventure, Stasis has had a brand new update. Stasis follows the game-play mechanics of classics like Space Quest, Kings Quest, the Monkey Island series, The Dig and Day of the Tentacle and the critically acclaimed, Sanitarium and twists it into a dark horror filled adventure set on a desolate spacecraft. This latest update takes a look at the environments, mood and lighting on the Groomlake - the desolate spaceship setting for Stasis and from what I've seen is ready to drop jaws at just how beautiful this game is looking!
Also according to the developer, he has now completed near five months of full time development, thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign that has raised $132,523 and a further $10,000 from backers all over the world and from what I've seen I can see why! It's as if the developer took Fallout and put it through a horror blender of Sanitarium, of which I have no complaints.
Regarding the story of the game, it's about John Maracheck who must interact and solve puzzles to save his family, while uncovering horrific experimentation, illicit research and an ever deepening mystery. Sound good? I think it does, so head on over to the website and bookmark!
