Developers MaschinenMensch are based in Berlin, Germany and are creating a roguelike expedition-sim that takes place in the late 19th century. The game focuses on exploration in a procedurally generated world where you must plan and equip your explorers, manage resources, interact and trade with villagers and tribes, loot ancient temple ruins and fight your way through a vast assortment of dinosaurs, zombies, beasts and cannibals.
For your expedition, you can assemble an adventuring party from a selection of famous people of the 19th century including Charles Darwin, Nikola Tesla, Harriet Tubman, and Amelia Earhart just to name a few. In your quest for fortune and glory, you must manage your supplies to keep your adventurers alive and defend your group from ferocious animal attacks all the while searching for and looting the valuable treasures that you discover along your path of curious expedition.
The Curious Expedition is coming for PC in 2014.
