As someone who loves paranormal TV shows and movies, there's something really chilling about the stories behind Asylums, with the dark decaying rooms and history of human suffering. So when Senscape announced today that it's Kickstarter success project of Asylum had reached alpha stage, I had to find out more.
According to Senscape, Asylum is a Psychological Horror Adventure Inspired By H. P. Lovecraft that has been in production for 5 years, partially funded through Kickstarter and a successful migration to the Unity edition. Development from the early release demo has come on leaps and bounds with brand new features such as new time of day transitions, weather effects and a revised interface.

The massive Hanwell Mental Institute comes to life thanks to eerie time-of-day transitions, sinister storms, punishing rains, and hideous fog, promising hours of damnable fun and unutterable terrors.
For those who are concerned it may not be all that scary, Senscape has assured us that it will have a mature and disturbing horror storyline, with high definition graphics, one of the biggest virtual buildings ever created and around 100 rooms of terror!
Asylum is certainly looking to be a rather scary game and with a developer behind it who created one of the scariest titles I've played called Scratches! This looks like a game that will be both a challenge to your body and soul.

Featuring the voice of industry veteran Josh Mandel with over 15 hours of gameplay, Asylum will be available for both PC, Mac, Linux through Steam
Will you escape the horrors of the Hanwell Mental Institute?
