Dinosword - Retro inspired platformer gets a Kickstarter

It's time to move away from the Amiga releases now and focus our attention to a very nice looking retro inspired platformer that has just appeared on Kickstarter. Developed by Lowercase Games, Dinosword is an epic retro platformer about exploration, sacrifice, and a little green dinosaur named Chompy. In this colourful game, you have been chosen to find a legendary sword that will save all the dinosaurs from extinction.

Unlike most platformers, Dinosword adds that little bit extra to make it more appealing to both the retro and the modern gamer alike. Playing across the Planet Meteora, you will uncover secrets around every corner, with multiple helpful items all the while squashing enemies and finding clues to help you on your journey. Another neat idea to the genre is watching how the environment and animals act in each stage will give you clues on how you should interact with it, so you will have to think ahead.

The game will also have 25 large stages, with both friendly and non friendly animals of which you can meet or destroy.

With a colourful world, great cartoon style artwork, retro inspirations and family friendly fun, this is looking to be a Kickstarter that's ripe for success. Besides, when my sister says "I'd support that because it has a Dinosaur and a Dinosaur goes rawwww" it's got to be good right?

$713 pledged of $16,000 goal with 27 days to go!
