Indie Game Developers who use the LUA based cross platform development system Gideros have pledged to make their games free on Raspberry Pi if the kickstarter stretch goal is reached to fund development to make the platform build for rPi as a target.
Gideros is a development system that allows developers to easily create cross platform games using one codebase and build their games for either iOS or android without having to maintain multiple code stacks. By writing games in the scripting language LUA, games can be made quickly and easily without having to learn the intricacies of Java, Obj-C or C++. The system is perfect for making the sort of games that we love here at Indie Retro News. (this writer is aware of a gideros project that will make many IRN readers moist with excitement ;) )
