Populous - Peter Molyneux godly classic appears on the C64!

If the news of the Maniac Mansion Demo Disk  or the Grubz (Worms Clone) for the C64 didn't blow you away, then the latest C64 preview of Populous probably will. First released in 1989 for the Amiga and then ported over to other systems in the early 90's such as the Acorn 32-bit, Atari ST and DOS. Populous was developed by Peter Molyneux for Bullfrog in which you play as a god, gaming against other gods in a celestial game of conquest. But what didn't happen was a version for the C64, until now!

Believed to be no more than a technical demo for the C64 by Frank Hugenroth, and released as a magazine demo many years ago, this early preview version is now available to enjoy on your C64 thanks to Onslaught. It's incredible to think that if EA Germany didn't turn down the conversion, we would've most likely had an 8-Bit version to play.
