Shutter - Atmospheric Horror gets an update on Steam

Cosmic Logic games have just released the V1.10 update to their Atmospheric horror puzzle game Shutter. In Shutter, the puzzles are all viewed from fixed camera perspectives a-la the original Resident Evil, and via a RC drone bot sent inside a creepy house to do your bidding.

The story is that you are to uncover a mystery of what happened many years before inside a "haunted" house from the use of the remote controlled drone bot and CCTV cameras, with the bot's video capability offering limited first person views.

The update brings amongst other things improved graphical and sound effects and an updated storyline.

  • Achievements added
  • Graphical updates including new textures, normal maps, and specular shaders
  • New sound effects
  • Story updates
  • Fixed bug which stuck player behind shed door
  • Fixed bug where photographs after the last note were having issues
Overall Shutter looks like an interesting twist on an established genre and at only £3.99 worth a punt if you're into the atmospheric horror genre.
