Zak McKracken between time and space - Adventure classic gets a worthy follow up!
Glorious news for adventure fans across the globe, as The Artificial Hair Brothers have announced the directors cut release of Zak McKracken : between time and space; an unofficial sequel to the all time classic adventure game "Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. First released in October 1988 by Lucasfilm Games (LucasArts) and the second game to use the SCUMM engine, after Maniac Mansion has now got a worthy follow up to this retro gaming classic.
Once again you play as Zak, and following on from his previous adventure of which people have completely forgot, you aren't doing to well. His five minutes of fame went by way too quick and the money he earned with his award winning book went down the drains when Zak decided to get his own newspaper off the ground. But now it's down to you to once again to prove he isn't just some ordinary guy, as he is on another adventure to prove to everyone once and for all, what a true hero is all about.
Moving on from the story you'll come across a game that feels like a proper commercial release. In development since 2002, Zak McKracken between time and space features lovely hand-drawn backgrounds in the developers own 2D graphical style while remaining as close as possible to what made old adventure games very special. The game also features full voice overs, sound effects and 3D cutscenes to really add that extra flair to this incredible adventure.
But if you thought this game was up for sale, it's not! Nope it's completely free, it's available as a rather large 3GB download on a multiple of sites for you to try today. So what are you waiting for, download this game now and give the developers a huge pat on the back for a great release!
