You may remember a few weeks ago we reported the start of the second round kickstarter campaign for the spiritual successor to the Quest for Glory series - Hero U, well the campaign is entering its final week with 15% ($15K) of its $100K goal still to be raised. While this is not an insignificant amount of money, it's still pretty modest for proper gaming projects to have a reasonable budget for the sort of eye candy modern gamers demand, and the history of the Cole's QfG franchise demands exactly that sort of attention to detail that only masters of their craft can provide.
The Kicktraq prediction looks like it will barely scrape through to the goal, let alone any of the tasty stretch goals like Sea Cave puzzles ans boss or Improved sound, music and animation, so if you're keen on the QfG series and want to see the new game flourish in the best possible light, now would be an excellent time to give your support to this project and allow the development to be 100% crowd funded. While failure of the campaign is unlikely to doom the game to failure, it is likely to significantly stunt it.
