The Hunt for the Red Cthulhu - HQ Action blasting shooter in a game boy style

Not long ago we gave you the heads up over a brand new Gameboy Jam 4 (#GBJAM), in which people around the world were given the opportunity to create any game they wish, as long as it looks like a Game Boy game. Well that is now over and an incredible 181 games were entered into the competition from action blasting games to puzzlers and platformers (each one a joy to play). But with all of those games, our attention was pulled in by the 6 place ranker of 'The Hunt for the Red Cthulhu'; a free action shooter by gumustdo that is just all out brilliant.

In control of a single explorer sub, to find the anomaly creature called the Red Cthulhu, you must blast your way through dangerous enemies and bricked up walls while also collecting keys to reach the big bad boss. What we would class as a top quality game, The Hunt for the Red Cthulhu is just so good to play, it would probably have been a hit game if it had been released all those years ago on an original Gameboy.

With the sound effects and powerful explosions, smooth gameplay and double weaponry, this game really stands out and I would recommend if you have the time, either at work or at home to play The Hunt for the Red Cthulhu!
