The breadth of talent coming out of eastern Europe these days is simply mindblowing, and OhNoo studios from poland is definitely one that is continuing that trend. They have just launched the kickstarter campaign for their artistic point and click adventure game Tsioque (pronounced Psi-ock) and game following in the traditions of hallowed names as lucasarts and Bluth citing Day of the Tentacle, Initana Jones Fate of Atlantis and Dragons lair (among others) as major inspiration. Does it live up to the hyperbole?
In short, so far: Yes! The artwork that's visible from their trailer and playthroughs of the demo so far certainly show some serious artistic talent at OhNoo studio. As for the game itself, well you can see for yourself with the downloadable demo (Windows, Mac) of the progress so far. Finally, any adventure game using Commodore 64's on the campaign page deserves a punt ;)
OhNoo studios are looking for $35000 and have already reached almost half of that in just a few days, with some awesome stretch goals including iOS and android versions.
