Originally released in 1983 was an epic laserdisc video game that many people still remember today, and that game was Dragon's Lair, which was originally published by Cinematronics. It was so special, in the fact that not only was it a game, but it allowed you to play in an interactive experience in a cartoon animation. You didn't just watch a cartoon, you played it! What would be a simple of task of selecting the right actions at the right time, was usually met with certain cartoon death. But today's news is a very special Kickstarter announcement, as Don Bluth and Gary Goldman are coming together once again to bring the classic arcade game Dragon's Lair to the big screen.
Jaws are dropping as the legends Don Bluth and Gary Goldman, are seeking our help to make Dragon's Lair, the movie through Kickstarter. Dragon's Lair continues to be loved by millions around the world since 1983, and fans have been waiting patiently to see Dirk and Daphne at it again. And that's exactly what they are aiming for, by bringing Dragon's Lair to a new generation. What's more they've also worked on '20' successful animation motion pictures such as, The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, All Dogs Go To Heaven and Anastasia.
But all of this comes down to you, because if the $550,000 goal isn't met, the only animated movie we will get to see is in our childhood imagination.
