SolarGun 1.0 - Sol_HSA's new ZX Spectrum shoot em up for 2016
Finally after all this time we have a new 2016 game to show you for the ZX Spectrum. It's ' SolarGun 1.0 ' by Jari Kompa; developed using a Image Spectrumizer graphics conversion, compiled with SDCC and Z88dk. and sound effects via BeepFX by Shiru. If you want to play a new Shoot em up for the ZX then come and play SolarGun, in which you need to avoid or blast your way through an unending asteroid field.
This game may not be very special in terms of gameplay, with it's typical waves of things to be blasted or having a lack of music. But what this game excels in, is the unique graphical quality! In fact I don't think I have ever played a ZX Spectrum game that has the effects that this does, it's as if space has been distorted and turned into a mass of white noise. You'll see what I mean when you play it. But apart from that, it's an ok game but don't expect to come back wanting more.
- Thanks Asger for the heads up!
