Powerglove - The most ambitious Lazycow WIP Amiga game to date from the C64

In 2013 Lazycow released the C64 run 'n' shooter as an entry in the 2013 RGCD 16K C64 Game Development competition, where it came 3rd place out of 15. This same game then appeared as a final version and released as a 16KB physical game cartridge much later in 2014. But not stopping there, in 2015 the game was made available as an exclusive PC, MAC and Linux version based on the original with some minor enhancements, such as parallax scrolling and optional pimped spritework. But after all that you'd think the game wouldn't appear on any other systems seeing as it had gone from the retro to the modern. But during the early hours of today, RGCD has announced the Amiga conversion and in their words " Powerglove is already shaping up to be his most ambitious Amiga game to date ".

Although the main website linked below is far more detailed with inclusive animated gifs, RGCD has said that Powerglove is based on the original C64 Powerglove source code and uses the Tubular Worlds low level code (which was also used in Arya Vaiv and Monsters of Terror). Furthermore the Amiga version has been enhanced with all new 32bit graphics, 4 channel music, parallax scrolling and more effects (like bigger explosions).

Now you can see why it is looking so ambitious, but I'd highly recommend checking out the developments via the RGCD page as that is full to the brim with coding details, the story, and the upside and downside of doing this conversion.
