The Mastertronic Archives - The history of Mastertronic budget games needs your help!!!

Only just last month Indie Retro News did a big feature for Player One Book's big Kickstarter crowd funding campaign for ' The Mastertronic Archives - The Ultimate Mastertronic Collector's Guide '. Both a standard volume and enhanced collectors volume were mentioned, detailing the history of the fantastic 8bit budget range such as KANE, Kikstart, Finders Keepers, One Man and his Droid, and many more. Basically if you were a gamer in that era, with an Amstrad, C64 or ZX Spectrum, the Mastertronic range were at the top of their class. But so far with all that said, it still isn't a Kickstarter success, and with 70 hours to go, and only $28,897 pledged of a $33,000 goal, they need your help!

If you need more incentive why you need to pledge, the standard edition, covers 256 pages of all of the Mastertronic £1.99 releases including game reviews, game credits, screen shots, cover images and more. The Collector's Edition including everything in the Standard Edition, PLUS an additional 256 pages featuring game reviews, game credits, screen shots, cover images and more of the other Mastertronic labels such as M.A.D., Americana, Rebound, Rack-It, etc PLUS the unique disk releases. And The Mastertronic Archives USB Cassette includes a USB cassette, clear jewel case with a '199 Range' inspired inlay featuring cover artwork by one of the original 1980s Mastertronic artists, Mark J. Brady. All PDFs come pre-loaded on the USB cassette along with some bonus extras!

And that's just a small part of this very nostalgic Kickstarter, but in all seriousness if you haven't pledged for this Kickstarter, then you have probably never heard of the nostalgic brilliance, that is Mastertronic.

- A book PDF will be available for anyone pledging just £1.99!
