Sure we love our modern games but most of the time we like nothing better than a new PC release sporting retro graphics of a glorious time gone by. This is especially true of Gar Benjamin's Unity developed game ' Atlantic Crisis ', which has recently appeared on gamejolt and is free to play on the PC. In this underwater experience with a SeaQuest vibe, you are put in control of a submarine and must traverse the dangerous depths to rescue the crew and scientists of the crashed research submarine GAR-001.
When it comes to creation in a retro gaming way, the developer isn't someone without experience. Especially as his golden years were the C64 and even the NES. This enjoyment and gameplay style certainly shows in Atlantic Crisis as it is rather enjoyable to play and makes me feel like I'm actually playing a retro game.
So graphics for me in this isn't an issue, and nor should it be for you, especially as you'll be too busy shooting underwater enemies, collecting little men and bringing them back up to the ladder for safety... Just keep an eye on your air supply, if you don't hit the surface too soon your entire crew will drown!
