The Hacker wasn't the only NES game to get an English translation this week, as we've just learnt that Aigiina no Yogen: Balubalouk no Densetsu Yori (From The Legend of Balubalouk, also known as Aighina’s Prophecy) has now been 100% translated into English by Psyklax, which is far beyond the previous translation released some time ago. The game puts you in control of Jason, and it is down to you as the main hero to collect and re-unite the Aura Stars and finally rescue Princess Laira, the daughter of Aighina, as only she knows to use them.
For a game that was released in 1986, and one of the first Famicom games to use a large amount of in-game dialogue, the previous translation was pretty lacking, as only the in game menu and a couple of lines of NPC dialogue were actually translated. But now thanks to Psyklax and any other support he gathered along the way, the introduction, password system, ending and NPC dialogue has been fully translated (and corrected, in the case of the ending). As Romhacking says, you could complete the game without understanding anything, but having it all translated brings a lot to your gameplay experience.
-A patching program such as beat or Floating IPS may be needed to add the hack/patch to the main GoodNES name: Aigiina no Yogen - From The Legend of Balubalouk (J) [!].nes Rom, which isn't available here.
