Retroreplay has just given us a great heads up via the EAB forums, that a fantastic trilogy of games known as the Super Strike Trilogy for Sega CD, has been unearthed by tdijital over at the AssemblerGames forums. This trilogy included Desert Strike, Jungle Strike and Urban Strike with possible extras, and was first announced in 1995 at the E3 but was cancelled and not until recently through the tireless effort of a great forum member known as headcrab ,was released into ISO form and can be played via the emulator Kega Fusion
According to tdijital he had met someone who had a bunch of disks and cd's with source code and development tools from Sega that been acquired through the IRS liquidation sale of a company in the Bay Area after the web bubble burst. He also goes on to say "There are 4CDS, a ton of 1.44mb floppy discs with source code of various Sega games, as well as a lot of developer tools and one of the disks having a bunch of references to Strike". Although tdijital did go into much deeper detail, it was actually thanks to Headcrab that the game was put into an ISO form, as he puts it " It's got a fully working sample for the SNASM2 MegaCD kit, with the vector table setup for the MegaCD debugger (I've been unable to get this working) along with the elusive SEGA.EXE loader. "
And that's just a small taster of everything that has gone on to get this game out to the public, but if you want to try the game right now head on over to the forums located (HERE) ( Updated Files )
