Wormhole - A gorgeous C64 game is in development by TRS

I'm rather surprised this game hasn't got more attention, as not long ago we've learnt that Protovision will be publishing a rather awesome looking C64 game called ' Wormhole ', that is in development by TRS. This game which puts you in control of a saviour, that must rescue a professor and stop a wormhole experiment that has gone horribly wrong with an invasion of hostile aliens, will feature more than just your average side scrolling jump 'n shooter experience.

Equipped with a rocket-driven Hazmat suit, you have to make your way through research facilities, a WORMHOLE and rescue the Professor. The game has a great selection of levels (15 in fact) that is divided into three different chapters, each one having their own visual style. Furthermore the game can be played as one- or two player game (alternating, only one active player at a time) using one or two joysticks, optionally.

But that isn't all, as according to the main site, you'll have a decent choice of weapons, a pistol, lasergun and rocket launcher, that will be available in the game to wipe out some of the alien scum, which will appear in each of the dangerous environments, such as the facilities and the alien planet. In addition, you can collect bombs that can be detonated either via remote control or by time fuse. Also make sure to collect additional fuel for your horizontal and vertical rocket drive. The built-in trainer helps you to familiarise with the different levels, and to prepare yourself for the next attempt on a new highscore!

And that is all the information we currently have on hand, but from what we've seen so far, this is looking like a seriously good C64 game and I can't wait to try it out when it's available!
