DamienD is up to his usual tricks again as once more he's looked towards a range of Amiga CD's, and converted the Amiga CD game ' Wasted Dreams ' to a bare-bones .HDF and .LHA file for easy play without the original CD. Now many of you probably haven't heard of this game, which isn't surprising considering it was released in 1999, but Wasted Dreams was developed by Digital Dreams Entertainment and is classed as a high quality isometric action game with adventure elements, but with a rather poor voiceover that does the voices for pretty much everything!
According to many descriptions of Wasted Dreams, this game takes place many years in the future where our Planet Earth is dying and the only way to survive is to find a planet for colonization. Sadly everything goes wrong as after finding a suitable home and trying to make a return trip back to Earth to relay the good news, the ship explodes and leaves two members stranded on a planet in which you need to both explore to find new items and yes even defend yourself against Alien life forms.
In all apart from the ridiculous voice over, Wasted Dreams is a game you really should play at least once, and more so when you read this latest comment by one such user on the Lemon Amiga forums who said " This is possibly one of the best Amiga adventure games that has been released since the great C= downfall. I preordered my copy and when it arrived my wife and I played it forever. I never did beat it and will again try when I get the time. Beautiful intro and very well thought out and put together game. Too bad Wasted Dreams 2 never made it out, was looking forward to it."
