Barbarian is a one-on-one fighter game whereby you have to take down your opponent using a variety of moves, of which the majority involve your sword. You can spin it around and wait for someone to walk into it, an over-the-head chop is also available along with a side swipe as many of the preferred ways to kill in this late 1980's game. But even though it is rated as a great game, there's a team of people out there who have decided to give it a much needed overhaul based on the Amiga version not providing any improvements over the C64 version, except sound and a higher screen resolution (Colin's post)
With a team of people behind this game such as Colin Vella, Ten Shu and Simone Bernacchia. Barbarian+ according to the latest post on Facebook is an upcoming overhaul that doesn't just have better graphics (perhaps that is subjective for some). But it uses more colours, introduces some additional frames for smoother animation and, at least up to now, runs at a maximum frame rate on a 1200.
Furthermore according to Colin, It will also have title music and a score for every arena. The game will also introduce 2 extra arenas, blood spatters etc. Finally, this is a hobby project driven by a passion for the Amiga platform and will be free to play.
