Casanova - Late 80's ZX Spectrum game gets a translation, unreleased beta to come soon!
In the late 80's Iber Soft released the action platformer game ' Casanova ' for the ZX Spectrum in which you play as the famous seducer of the XVIII century, Giacomo Casanova on the streets of a famous town full of women and jealous guys. While trying to avoid touching the local townsfolk and the use of your mandolin, you must clean the town from these menacing lot with a beautiful note or two. Now if you remember this game ( I didn't ), you'll be pleased to know a Portuguese version of the game has been released as well as an improved beta is soon to come
Now the site of the original source of the story which came from aka Planet Sinclair is a little confusing, but from what we can tell is the upcoming beta physical version of the game on side B, contains a loading screen by Borrocop, different characters from the final version, and the hero fires shots at his enemies instead of the musical scores found in the final version released in the 80's. Also as an added extra if you ever did get the chance to play the beta you'll be pleased to know it is easier to play and will be launched in the collection of the 30th anniversary of Topo Soft.
So for now look forwards to playing the Portuguese download version as in a few months time you'll have the luxury to play the never released beta !
