The Internet Archive adds 1,100 New Arcade Machines to its ever growing library
Some time ago we mentioned some of the best websites to play classic retro systems online. Systems such as the CPC, NES, MSX and loads more were completely playable directly through your browser. One such site called "The Internet Archive" had a massive game list from the 1970's through to the 1990's, all emulated in JSMAME containing hundreds of titles from text based software to games. Well in regards to The Internet Archive, they've just gone one big step further and have now added over 1,100 new Arcade Machines to the Internet Arcade, all playable in your browser!
As noted by the website - The Internet Arcade, their collection of working arcade machines that run in the browser, has gotten a new upgrade in its 4th year. Advancements by both the MAME emulator team and the Emscripten conversion process allowed the team to go through many more potential arcade machines and add them to the site. Games that can be played include Outrun, Joust, Indiana Jones, Beezer, Marble Madness and many many more!
A good PC with a decent browser is recommended.
