Putting aside the Amiga games as now we look towards Mushin Games crowd funding campaign for their upcoming 2D action platformer ' The Legend of Tobimaru '. A game that according to the developers, is a upcoming game that takes its inspiration from retro classics such as Super Mario Brothers and Mega Man, as well as classic fighting games such as Street Fighter II.
Aiming for a release through Steam for Windows and Linux if the Kickstarter is a success, Mushin Games have told us The Legend of Tobimaru puts you in control of a ninja on a journey to defeat the enemies that have destroyed his village and collected the fragments of his Protector’s Orb. The game features a timing based combat system with the ability to dodge at any time, challenging combat puzzles, unlockable abilities with even more combat moves, power ups to collect or buy, melee and ranged attacks, as well as a linear progression with minimal backtracking to differentiate it from other Metroidvania games.
And that's pretty much all the cool stuff the game has to offer, so if you're interested make sure to check out the demo below and then head on over to their Kickstarter page to give them a helping hand.
