Not to be confused with Mission Impossible, of which I have done many times in the past, but we have recently been told by Saberman that Impossible Mission has appeared on the Atari XL/XE as a tech demo by Gonzo. This game was originally released on multiple systems in the 80's including the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum, and puts you in control of a secret agent infiltrating an enemy stronghold.
Regarded as one of the best games for multiple systems, with that classic digitized line " Stay awhile, stay forever ". Impossible Mission was released all those years ago in 1984 developed by Dennis Caswell and published by Epyx. As an epic platformer game against the clock to reassemble and decrypt a password to Atombender's control room while also avoiding seriously dangerous robots! It's just a shame this is only a tech demo, as if it was a full game I think many would agree it would be a brilliant addition to the Atari XL/XE libary.
