Grid based Dungeon Crawlers have a huge fan base on Indie Retro News, ask anyone here what game they remember the most and usually it's either Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder or even the modern ones such as Legend of Grimrock or Vaporum. I mean seriously there's even a website dedicated to them called dungeoncrawlers.org! So why are we talking about these awesome games again? Well take a look at this game that was recently announced with a new trailer. Fallen Dungeons; a very dark and creepy Dungeon Crawler set in a vast derelict Keep!
Fallen Dungeons combines classic grid based dungeon crawling with atmospheric visuals, set in a believable world which uses real time physics to enhance the experience. It also features real-time combat , very creepy enemies, challenging puzzles, NPCs, an immersive story and deadly traps with each party member being customizable, helping you explore and fight through the depths of an intricately designed keep spanning huge levels (up to 40x40 tiles).
Currently we don't have a release date but make sure to sign-up to their early access program and receive the latest notifications on game updates and beta testing opportunities.
