As you all know we feature as many different games as possible from every walk of retro gaming life. Well today is no exception! As thanks to a heads up by George Allan; solo/indie developer who used to write 16-bit games (including Zool on the Amiga, and Pitfall on the Megadrive). He has told us he will be releasing a rather unusual 2D platform/adventure game inspired by Amiga/SNES era gameplay called ' Grim Earth ', which will be released through Steam early access ' 18th April '.
According to the Steam page, Grim Earth will feature a blend of action, exploration and some puzzle solving as you involve yourself in an ongoing story, full of new characters and dangerous alien hostiles. Furthermore if that wasn't enough, the game is designed to be nice and light, featuring a hand drawn graphical style, a dry sense of humour, frequent save points and it's free of bloody gore! Although you will need to make your way through a variety of wondfully created locations while immersing yourself in explosions, alien splats and flying robot parts.
