If you don't have a NES but a Sega Genesis or Sega Mega Drive and wondering when it's your time to shine, then worry not! As thanks to a heads up in our Indie Retro News Facebook group, we've been told Second Dimension R&T, LLC will be bringing their action platformer of ' The Curse of Illmoore Bay ', to those retro Sega consoles if it is a Kickstarter success!
The Curse of Illmoore Bay is a new and original 16 bit game heavily inspired by Saturday morning cartoons from the 90s fueled by their deep love for the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Console; a horizontal scrolling action platformer that will take you through six different levels each with it's own monsters and bosses, with tons of items to collect and powerful abilities to acquire.
If that wasn't enough to excite you, the game doesn't just take its influences from awesome classics such as Ducktales or the Megaman series, but features a ton of fabulous retro art with a huge variety of graphics and sprites, a choice of up to two heroes, mutliple abilities, many areas to visit in a monster infested town, boss fights, and yes plenty of challenges set with lots of cartoony sounds and animations!
So yes if this game interests you and the demo was appealing, make sure to check out the kickstarter page below as they are half way to a Kickstarter success!
