It wasn't long ago now that we were banging on about Zzap! 64 Annual 2019 ; a glorious book of goodness from Chris Wilkins as a revival of the classic Zzap magazine, wrapped up in the guise of an awesome looking hardback. Well it looks as if the C64 is about to get in on the action once again, as Chris Wilkins has launched the official Kickstarter for the ZZap! 64 Annual 2020; a Kickstarter which is already at the half way point
The original and greatest C64 magazine of them all 'Zzap!64' was launched in 1985 and ended in 1992 covering games on the Commodore International series of computers, especially the C64 with more games and news that a C64 owner could ever want during its golden age. This latest Kickstarter via Fusion Retro Books features all the best bits and more such as fabulous reviews and write ups done by Chris Wilkins (review editor), Roger Kean (managing editor ), Oliver Frey (art editor) and Stuart Williams (adventure editor) and many other contributing members that make this one of the best C64 hardbacks to own!
But if that wasn't enough to get you excited such as having reviews of the latest games released last year and into this one, the Kickstarter also has fantastic perks to entice you to pledge to the Kickstarter. Perks such as a signed programme from the musical greats playing at Rob Hubbard's 8-Bit Symphony concert organised by Chris Abbott, a glorious designed Canvas of the ZZap! 64 annual cover signed by Oliver Frey, and even a brand new game being developed by Trevor Story (graphics), Stuart Collier (coding) and Jason Page (music) called The Lord of Dragonspire!
So yes a truely fantastic Kickstarter from Chris Wilkins and one I think will be a success before the month is out. Links 1) Source
