Way back in 2014 developer Ghislain de Blois released Realms of Quest IV for the Commodore VIC-20 through the publisher Psytronik. It was another game in the series as a fine tribute to classic style turn based, party based dungeon crawlers of the 1980‘s, with graphics reminiscent of the early Wizardry games I-IV. If you remember those great games, you'll be pleased to know Psytronik Software will be doing an awesome 'Realms of Quest Quadrilogy Collection' which will be available to pre-order 18th Jan!
The previous game in the series had wireframe graphics, a 10 level hand designed dungeon complete with spinners, teleporters, pits, and darkness zones, monsters galore, plus a temple to heal your characters, a shop to purchase and sell equipment, and an inn to rest and train levels. In fact Realms of Quest IV was such a great game, that last year Double Sided Games published the latest game in the series as Realms of Quest V!
Thankfully for those of you who missed out on all the games in the series, apart from the latest one which is available to buy through Double Sided Games, Psytronik will be publishing the collection pack which contains Realms Of Quest I (Anniversary Edition), Realms Of Quest II (Anniversary Edition), Realms Of Quest III, Realms Of Quest IV and a previously unreleased game Ultimate Quest:Catacomb for the C64 through their website in a lovely feature packed boxed edition.
